A few nights ago, this was in the middle of Belle's bedtime prayer:
"And let mom and dad know that we are just kids and don't know everything. We aren't perfect kids and they aren't perfect parents. We can sometimes be bad kids and they can sometimes be bad parents. But it isn't about us, Lord. Help me and Luke see that…it's not about us. And even though some people may see us as small….we are a family. And let us keep being family."
If could have even BEGAN to understand that at her age...
It's true, though. The sooner we can all figure out that it is NOT all about us, the better off this world would be.
"Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too."
