Family Night Edition #36

Was it really September 18th the last time we did Family Night? I guess with a birthday party and New York trip all thrown in the middle, it just got put on the back burner.

But Thursday night it came back...

...In full COLOR!

It was Color Family Night!

We started with a VERY colorful dinner. Red pizza, bluecorn chips and white cheese dip, colorful fruit with blue cool whip, colorful veggies with white ranch dip and green tea. We have Jr. Bomb pops in the freezer still that we never made it around to.

We got things started by making up some cupcakes...

See...

...That became sun-cakes by the end of the night

From there we made mustard pictures. You put some mustard into a zippie and flatten it out. Then, you commence to 'drawing' pictures with your fingers. It was neat.

After making some colorful hats (you'll see them in a minute) we played "Feed Elliott". We stood on a ladder and fed Elliott colorful crayons. Hubs displays his maaaddd crayon feeding skillz here.

See...here's Elliott. You are supposed to leave the jug intact, but I just couldn't do that to my semi-uncoordinated offspring. They take after their mother, what can I say. And, for those of you who don't know...Elliott is the dragon from Pete's Dragon. Go watch it. It's awesome!

From there the kiddos took Baby Girl's camera and went around the house taking pictures of things that were the color I shouted out. Then, our intentions were to watch Rainbow Brite, but we couldn't find it.

So we settled for "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".

Hey...that is one colorful man.

So, colorful night was o' so colorful!

See? Even Sissy thought so. Didn't you, Sis?
