A Fresh Start

Resolutions are silly if you ask me. They usually last all of about the month of January, MAYBE February. Plus, it seems every time we say, "Ok. My NY Resolution is to blah blah blah."...everything and everyone begins to fly right in the face of whatever we just said.

So...I don't make 'em. More power to you if you do and if it's your thing. But it's not mine. Good Old Murphy keeps that from happening for me.

Now...what I DO love about the New Year is that in a sense it cleanses the proverbial pallate. It feels like you can breathe. Now, I'm fully aware that this sense of breathing may very well be the after-thanksgiving-the-month-of-December-seems-to-disappear breath. But nonetheless, it just feels good. It feels like all the crap and mistakes and hurts and burdens and irritations of the last year can bury just a wee bit and you can focus on what feels like a clean slate.

The proverbial fresh start.

And so that's my prayer, not my resolution. That the following will have God's hand in the fresh start:

~My Man and I have a situation that we hope to see a fresh start in. Soon.
~My Baby Girl to have a fresh start in her body image and self esteem.
~My Baby Boy to have a fresh start with his big boy school
~My friend #1 to have that fresh start in her mind where her situation is.
~My friend #2 to have that fresh start in severe depression.
~My friend #3 to have her fresh start rekindled.
~My friend #4 to have her fresh start continue to grow and birth as my cute niece/nephew.
~My friend #5 to see a fresh start in her finances.
~My friend #6 to have a fresh start in her heart and realize what she is doing to her family.
~My friend #7 to have a fresh start in her marriage.
~My friend #8 to have a fresh start with her job.

Do you need a fresh start? Don't make a resolution.

Pray.

I'm praying and believing...and praying for my unbelief.
